4.9 billion rubles will be allocated to repay the state debt in 2021, and Belarus will fulfill all its obligations. This was stated by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko today at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers, where the draft forecast of socio-economic development of Belarus for 2021 is being discussed, BelTA reports.
— 4.9 billion rubles will be allocated to repay the state debt in 2021, including 4.2 billion rubles to repay the external state debt and 700 million rubles to repay the internal debt, — the head of government said.
Golovchenko said that he considers it necessary to pre-empt comments in certain media that “the country will collapse under debt.”
“No one will collapse. These funds are provided. The country pays all its debt obligations in a timely manner, as always, without prejudice to the fulfillment of its social obligations and development goals, ” he stressed. Roman Golovchenko called the key requirement for the budget to be balanced, focused on solving social problems and developing infrastructure. At the same time, the budget for 2021 is formed in conditions of limited resources. — This is a budget for the era of a pandemic and an unprecedented global crisis. Direct losses from external factors, which we cannot influence, are estimated at 380 million rubles.
According to him, in order to fulfill the tasks set and maintain macroeconomic stability, stable execution of budgets at all levels will be required.
